Peugeot 1007 no power, jerky idle
Discussion
Hi there.
I made service on my Peugeot 1007 1.4, petrol 2006 due to it's minor idle problems. Engine has really low milage and was always working really good, starting up nicely etc.
So I took out throttle body and cleaned it, MAF sensor too, valves needed a non- to little adjustment, compression checked - healthy and similar on all cylinders.
After firing car up, it sounds like diesel. Jerky idle, no power, shaking. So I rechecked everything. Than installed new sparkplugs. Swapped coil. New MAF sensor on it's way. NO CHECK ENGINE or anything. It seems that ECU thinks everything is in order.
I'm slowly running out of ideas.

As it's worse after you tampered with it....it would seem you have caused the further problems.
Either go back over and undo what you did or at least re-check everything, or source a competent mechanic. Although it is hateful trying to fix after other peoples tampering. So do ensure you tell any mechanic exactly what you did and any problems before that, accurate history matters.
And no, the ecu is not some mystical beast that can figure out everything people might do to the engine....if we assume the CEL even works in the first place.
