Add a turbo?

Is it possible, without huge expense, to add a turbo to a 1.8 Escort Diesel van. Would like to increase the torque of the engine.

I think the easiest way you could do this would be to simply swap the engine...

Otherwise you're looking at new exhaust, intake, uprated injection, new ecu/management etc etc etc.. and a whole world of stress trying to get the conversion to work!

Buy a written off TD van and throw the lump in yours...

Reckon Slinky's probably right I'm afraid - even easier (and probably cheaper to insure etc) to just sell it and buy a TD van instead...

Of course, the RS turbo engine fits a treat mind you.....

Thanks guys, it was just a thought as the van is a good'un other than not enough pulling power, so to speak
