Off the wall question, but it has some relevance to me anyway.
Is it possible to DE-tune either the 4.2 AJP8 or the 4.0 Speed Six engines to well under 300bhp? Maybe look more at getting as flat a torque curve as possible and hopefully stress the engine less?
Or should i take the easy option and just look to set a rev limiter just above idle?

drive slower?
Cheers Joolz!
Ok sod the secrecy, I'm exploring the possibility (in my own mind) of prepping a Cerbera for the TVRCC Championship next season (i know this season is only 2 weekends old but...) it takes that long for me to get my lazy arse from infront of the computer and into the workshop.
To enter class A the car must be under both 220bhp/ton and under 300bhp absolute power. Otherwise, as things stand its the invitation class against the Thorpedo and 600odd bhp or whatever it is that monster is kicking out.
A throttle stop or additional rev-limiter would achieve this quite elegantly...but is there another way?

we toyed with the idea of building a cerbera. complete non-starter if you're serious about the championship, it's just too big. a good laff in the meantime though
a much better route would be a tamora.
Cheers for the advice, just playing with ideas in my mind at the moment, it will all come down to cash in the end, if the budget is big enough it would be a nice idea, if not pick up a pre-preped wedge and cut my teeth.
