Tappet adjustment on RV8
Discussion
Does anyone who the tappet adjustment sequest on the Rover V8 engine.
I have a solid lifter engine (and not hydraulic lifters).
The old 4 cylinder push rod engines used the old formula of 9 : so 1 fully open adjust 8 etc..
Is there a similar method with the RV8 - will the
clearance be around 12-14 thou.
They currently are pretty close (not much tappet noise) - so I'm not expecting to make any large adjustments from what they are currently measured & set at..

The easiest way to do them is to set the opposed one on the rotoe arm so to speak ie, get no1 on the rock and set no6 8 on the rock and set no5 etc

Basically which ever is on the rock set the opposite if you start at no1 you should only need to turn the engine a little bit for the next one
Yep 14 thou sounds good for most solid lifter cams
