Cant find much on this, looking to buy one for a tuning project but all i can find is the Lumenition one which looks a tad expensive for what it is, any budget options out there?

Cheers

Depends what you want it for. If you are after a permanently installed monitor with a gauge and overtemp alarms etc, I think you're looking at hundreds of pounds. There are some gauges that have alarm capabilities but by the time you have bought two or three to monitor different things they get very expensive. The cheapest option I have found if the Sparco monitoring system which has a mini readout of various parameters with high/low alarms for each one. If you just want to measure the EGT from time to time, I think your best bet is to buy a bunch of K-type thermocouples, patch box (if you want multiple sensors) and a display/driver unit. Since I only needed a couple of sensors, I went for an even cheaper approach which is to buy a couple of Clarke multi meters which have a thermocouple display mode, and an IR thermometer to let me quickly spot differences in header temperature when stationary.

Cheers, it has to be something that will eventually transfer from car to car quite easily.
I have a multimeter with a temperature probe but looks quite fragile for this job.
Will look into getting a few thermocouples and see what i can come up with.
