In my Caterham 21, I have a petrol tank which vent directly to the air, which his poisoning my passenger.
I have heard a bout a carbon canister you can fit on the venting pipe, but I cannot find any information (manufacturer) or where to buy it.

Do someone knows about this canister?

Thanks for your help

I reckon you could get a carbon canister/purge tank off of a toyota (say a corolla) and plumb it into the manifold via an electrical valve to burn the vapours when the engine is running...thats what most of em do.

the Carbon canister doesn't have to come from a toyota, they are fitted to almost all fuel injected cars on the road, you'll probably find it easier to get hold of one from a ford vehicle along with the pipe work and the canister purge valve.

These valves would normaly be opened by the PCM, but nothing to stop you from rigging something up, a simple vacuum/electro switch could be used on the inlet manifold, as soo is you hit overrun the high vacuum created will close the switch and open the solenoid valve.

Of course you could always lose the passenger and take advantage of the weight reduction

As the man says, any reasonably modern car (like post 97) will have a carbon cannister attaching by large amounts of plumbing to the fuel tank and then venting back into the inlet manifold

you should be able to look back even further to the introduction of closed loop fueling in around 91/92, the fiesta had a carbon canister which would probably tuck up out of the way on the caterham

Rover 200/400... ones are good, purge valve sits on top and its quite compact. Just about the same as the LR version. They are very easy to remove (in engine bay not hidden under wings like a lot of the other possible donors).
