Wires to a Ford MAP?
Discussion
I run a Formula Forward with a 2.0 DOHC 8V Ford engine using a AFAIK standard Ford Manifold Actual Pressure (MAP) Sensor. Unfortunately the previous owner butchered the plug and I am not sure that mine is therefore correctly wired. As far as I can tell, there is a live connection adjacent to the vacuum pipe then the signal wire, then the earth furthest from the vacuum pipe. Can anyone confirm whether I have got this right?
Does anyone know a rapid source for second hand ones as I suspect that it may be knackered anyway.
Many thanks in advance.

Been a while since i've played with the old DOHC 8V engine.
I can't get access to a wiring diagram until I go back in to the office tomorrow.
You should be able to find a sensor and it's multiplug at many a breakers yard, that engine was fitted to the Sierra and granada and transit.
if you need to try and find a new one, give these a mail

Hope it helps.

Thanks nighthawk. Unfortunately breakers are a bit more sophisticated than when I last used one. No more scrambling over a large pile of cars cutting the bit you want out and saying "Ow much for this then mate". Managed to get the sensor but not the plug. Hours of internet searching eventually cam up with an educated guess that seems to have done the trick.
