Hope someone can shed some light on this as I cant get my head round it!.What would be the outcome of fitting 4.6 dished pistons to a standard 4.0 litre crank with 4.0 rods?.Would it be 4.0 litre low compression or a slight drop in compression or is it just not correct and feesible?.Would it end up suitable for a turbo setup?.As always any help or advise will be appreciated thanks.
it would end up very very low compression by my estimates.
You would lose about 5mm compression height I think, which on such a large bore, would be a lot.
Why not just buy low compression 4.0 pistons. It would make a bit more sense.
Or I have a 4.6 block/crank/rods/ and low comp pistons.
Just needs 1 piston to make good again.
