EasiMap (thats the MBE software) is a little complex but once you've got your head around it its fairly easy. Initial mapping would have to be taken care off on a rolling road then finalised by actualy running the car and logging the data fed back from the sensors (you'd also want wideband O2 data).
All the recent MBE ECU's have a serial port that can be used for mapping or running virtual dashboards from on a laptop or similar for fault diagnosis or as a data display when running on the rollers etc.
On a side point why would you need to alter the map at the track? Once the engine is mapped correctly there would be nothing to gain - unless you mapped it for different fuel grades?
Have a word with SBdev, specificaly look at their page here www.sbdev.co.uk/Engine_Management_Systems/ECU/ECU_Main.htm
which should give you some info to be going on with on the various MBE ECU's.
Data sheet for the 970 here: www.sbdev.co.uk/Engine_Management_Systems/ECU_Details/MBE_970.gif

Is anyone experienced with the Easimap software?
What benefits are there to be had from changing the user profile from basic to master (I can currently only access basic)? Can anyone help me with passwords for the user profiles? Is it a case of getting the *.key file and using a hex editor or similar to find the code?
I want to use the ecu on a V6 engine with continuously variable cam timing and some other features that I assume require more than the basic profile to be enabled.
Thanks in advance.
