Over filled my engine with oil what would happen ?
Discussion
Whereas a lot of racers overfill their cars to stop oil starvation.
7mm on the dipstick is nothing to worry about, if you seriously overfill then you could be in trouble, but you are talking 2 litres over in a normal 4 cylinder.
The 4.5 AJP V8 on a dry sump can easily take an extra 2 litres with no bother, on my 4.2 AJP V8 I over fill by 500ml by default.

7mm don't worry about it. I routinely overfill my RV8 by half an inch for track days, even with a fully baffled flap valved sump and flashing lights and buzzers on the oil pressure switch I just don't want to take the slightest chance of starvation. I think the biggest danger of overfilling is oil froth being blown out the breather and ingested by the engine, potentially doing a lot of hydraulic damage. But on mine the breather is right at the top of the rocker covers so that ain't going to happen.
