M3 engines. old vs new.
Discussion
I have alot of 6 cylinder M3 engine data - going from e36 S50 up to current S54, but it's data me and a collegue have worked hard, trying to obtain, measuring on flow rigs or with profilometers weights- even combustion data, ignition maps from old scrap engines.etc etc.
I'm not quite sure it's right to start to release this data to just anyone, so I must be discriminate as to what should be disclosed.
I'm also a very busy right now in the middle of a big move.
I'll let you know...

If you don?t want to reveal your data that fine. But there is absolutely no need to say you have it but you may not want to give it!

Have you had a look at those web pages already?

Write to BMW head office. Write a polite and intelligent sounding letter and they may help. I did a project while at Uni (some years ago) on engine pistons. We wrote to a manufacturer of pistons, and they sent loads of info, more than we ever hoped for, and most we couldn't even understand.
