Hello

I posted on here couple of weeks ago, just thouhgt i'd try again.

Im a current student at the University of Hertfordshire studying BEng in automotive engineering, im currently looking for work placements within the motorsport area, for 2005 to 2006,in the uk or europe.

I was wondering if anyone new of any good places to go or could recommend any teams or companys to try?

Thankyou

Adam

Try to speak to the Personnel department of every company that has an advert in Autosport regularly. Plus the usual OE companies, consultancies and Car companies.

To be honest, time spent at say Tickford doing emissions certification work would be 100 times more useful than being a gopher for a Formula Ford team, I'd try to stick to the production end of the business if possible.

I love racing but it's use for everyday road car engineering is of very limited value.

True but it pays well. If he's any good then it could produce a job that would pay even more.

Does it really pay well? Maybe for Adrian Newey, but as an Engineer it's pretty lousy, lots of work, and jobs are incredibly unstable.
