The Laguna lists a 3.0V6 model in 210bhp form so i would have thought its an evolution of this engine so yes ide say its a Renault lump

TWR don't build the MK2's because TWR don't exist anymore!, renault sport themselves do all the work on the cars

thanks a lot everyone been a great help

can i be cheeky and ask some more questions.

don't suppose anyone knows how much power the transmission can take before it goes pop!!

i have heard you can get serious power figures from the cosworth v6 quad cam engine if u strap some turbos on it aparently its really strong and can take upto 500bhp, what do u lot think, is this information accurate i'm only goin on what i read. and do u think it would be possible to swap the engine for this cossie lump? look forward to reply. There was an article on the race version of the Clio V6 in the also dearly departed CCC magazine.

Their more powerful engines were built on the same production line, they just slipped in some strong rods and different pistons.
