EFI fuel pump flow tables
Discussion
Hi Stevie
Well the thing is, there are plenty of “common” bosch pumps coming up at e-bay.
But which will handle above 350 BHP apart from the obvious 044 and alike is not something I know.
Would it not be great to have a table which shows the flow data in relation to the pressure for the “common” and "motorsport" bosch pumps.
Question is, has someone already gathered that information?
I agree, the Walbro would be plentiful for me, but they are normally going for 80 and more on e-bay.
Cheers Peter

If you can get the Walbro for £80, then it is pretty cheap.
it would also be peace of mind knowing the fuel pump is more than up to your job, and will never be placed under pressure to flow enough fuel.
Considering the 044 costs about £200, the Walbro is a bargain. The only benefit teh Bosch seems to offer over Walbro, is that it will maintain flow at higher pressures, but for either, 4 bar will be easy. The Bosch is available in a 5 bar model, or 8 bar. After 5 bar, both will slow down a bit.
I cant see any Bosch efi pump being cheaper, unless you are going to use a second hand pump which IMO would be an unwise move when a new pump is so cheap..
You may get some info here.

I think a std Cossie pump would probably supply enough fuel, but then, any Injected Granada or Sierra wiith an inline external pump uses the same Bosch pump as the Cossie.
