I'm researching data logging products for performance hire cars, obviously driven by many different people. I'm concerned that some drivers may not treat the cars with any respect (hire car? gedaway! ).

Not concerned about speed (be interested to know though ), more concerned with oil and water temp and engine RPM, i.e. thrashing a Cerbera from cold. The problem is that it would have to be able to store data for at least 2 weeks (150 hours storage would be great), be tamper-proof and easily downloaded to a laptop for analysis.

Davis CarChip looks good, but don't know if it's available in the UK, isn't tamper-proof, and doesn't work with loads of cars (uses the OBDII interface).

Anyone know of a product that would be suitable?

DL1 can be hooked into other sensors like water/temp. Data logging is onto a CF card.

Thanks for that - looks like it does what I need. Few questions to ask, but could be the one. Cheers.
