I have a '99 Hyundai Coupe F2 Evolution and want to fit a Cold Air Induction kit but don't know which is best (greatest power gain) most seem to be around £150 +/- £40.

Any advice? Or are they all much the same?

thanks

This isn't the answer you are looking for, but I created my own for my CRX by using 4" plastic gutter-down pipe going from the front bumper to the OE air box with a, eh hem...custom panel filter.

The insides are just a smooth as any kit + you can cut lengths and get various angled ebows to fit any situation.

I even made the air scooop for the front valence by blowing a hot air gun to soften the plastic of the open gutter downpipe juction, and pushed it up inside the back of the bumper until it went hard again then cut a tidy hole in the bumper, and Robert's your mother's brother, perfect fit and even looks fairly standard as it isn't all chromed-up.

I prefer it that way.

If you want a shiny ready-made unit, the F2 is a fairly unusual application and your choice might be limited. From exprience with CRX's, which are quite similar, the prices you mention sound about right from a high street outlet, but you can probably pick up the exact same thing off eBay for ~£50.

Try www.advancetuning.com for a start, they supply Air-Pro products which have always gained favourable reviews with CRX owners as a sound budget bolt-on. They might be able to find what you want or adapt something to suit.

Hope something of this helps.
