So I am at the stage in my Rush build where I am thinking about fuelling.
The engine is a Rover 4.6 V8 and will be tuned to run with carbs to aroun 275 - 300 bhp.

Can anyone recommend a suitable electric fuel pump and supplier?

TIA.

www.moss-europe.co.uk have a load in there, failing that have a word with Matt_T16 as he knows a little about fuel pumps - his latest beast (Saab F900) runs with an aircraft Fuel pump.

If you've got a Holley or Edelbrock carb, a red Holley pump would work fine, they give 6-7 psi no need for regulator. Could spend a bit more and get a Holley Blue with regulator. Both readily available from Real Steel or mail order from USA.

I have a Facet redtop fuel pump and a King fuel regulator / filter with pressure gauge. (V8 engines)
Both parts are 1 year old and have been used on my Rush for approx. 50 hours in total.

See: www.fuelsystem.co.uk/regulators.htm
The pressure regulator is the second from the top.

See:www.fuelsystem.co.uk/fuel.htm

The red top pump is the part Nr. RTW506

60 pound for both plus shipping . Intrested?

Cheers
Peter

I've always found the Walbro pump excellent value for money with enough flow for 400 bhp+

Yup, only problem is mine runs 4.8bar of fuel pressure Bit much for carbs! Although it would work nicely with Fuel Systems EFI - Carb Regulator P/N: FPR009C.

As mentioned on the few Carb based cars I've done the Facet gear seems a pukka bit of kit.

Failing that a Nissan (R32+33+34) GTR pump is twin staged with regulator, good for over 400bhp.I got one from a scrappy for £50.They're a bit noisy tho.

The other trick is to have two pumps in parallel. Gives a bit of redundancy as well.
