I need some information on the Rover 4.6 engine with Serpentine front end.

1.) Were can I get a performance camshaft for this engine? Reel Steel or the usual suspects don’t do one.
2.) Is there some information on the oil pump setup available for servicing the parts?

I have not found any source of information on the 4.6 engine. The Haynes Land Rover manuals do not cover this engine. (yet)

Has anyone seen some information on the 4.6 with Serpentine front end, book, web or whatever?

Thanks
Peter

Here some pics of the difference between RV8 Serpentine cam (at the left) and normal RV8 cam.

OK, I try again.

Click on the link. The Serpentine cam is on the left in the picture.

Here the chain set.

I have not seen any reference to the Serpentine parts on any of the usual V8 web sites, including the ones mentioned above.

Cheers

Below is a quote from the RPI site

“The later type Serpentine V8 engines have the Camshaft further retained by a fixing plate (secured with two bolts).
The issue is that there are still a few upgrade cams on the market that do not have the added machining to reuse the fixing plate.
All RPi / Piper cams are designed to be suitable for either variant, so they are 100% appropriate for all applications. “

Not much more info but bell them as they are very helpful. Their RP4 cam made a huge difference to my RR.
