Lemax LSD, Anyone know anything about it ?
Discussion
I have an SD1 axle and a new Lemax LSD. I have never heard of Lemax, I cannot find any details about the company or the diff by doing a Google search and I am keen to find out more about it, what oil I need to use in it and that sort of thing.
My searches turn up small internally lit model houses and a few links to fourms with pople asking about Lemax LSDs and not really getting any replies.
Help !

Anybody know anything about Lemax LSD's. I bought one so long ago i cant remember when, anyway it is for a SD1 V8 Twin Plenum. The diff was being sold by a guy (who had several) and came along to a Rover SD1 Club show/gathering. I've pulled it out of storage and wold like to find out more from any one who knows ANYTHING about Leemax LSD's
I don't know anything specifically about Lemax as a brand of diff, but a quick bit of googling suggests this was something fitted originally to a TR7?

In any case, the form of the internals looks like a standard small ZF (or copy) LSD setup with the four external lugs on the plates/ramps. IIRC ZF sold all of the original tooling/designs to Drexler, but Graziano also make a diff of the same size as fitted to Aston Martins, Audi R8 etc, so there should be OEM parts out there that are compatible should you need spares. Worst case the friction plates/discs might be different thicknesses but that can usually be overcome by a competent diff builder using appropriately sized spacer(s).
