Yup, BTaP is now fading in the memory; the end of November rushes ever nearer; so it can only mean one thing: It's time we all went to the pub again!

Feedback I've been given is that Monday was a popular night because on-one tended to have anything planned, and thus the next meet is:

Monday 24th November 8pm (until closing time)
We're going to Grove Lock

Pub can be found on this map: click here It's marked "Grove Lock" (slight left of center), it wasn't a pub when this map was made but I can assure you it is now.

Basically, the entrance to this pub is on the B488 which is the road to Tring. Come along the L-B bypass, and it's the roundabout right beside the railway bridge. If anyone wants better directions, email me.

Don't be surprised if I'm slow to reply to questions on this thread, I've no PH access at work anymore

Sheepy

Edited to make map link clearer and add a few comments to the directions

It's on the Calendar now

Sheepy,

Think I will try and make it up that evening as it looks like a nice run from Rickmansworth. Would be nice to meet a few other PHers rather than doing the usual local car club thing each month. I'll see who else I can drag with me.

Hopefully see you then.

As long as...

1) It's open
2) Isn't being refurbished.
3) Has a smoking area.
4) Our stereos will still be there when we leave.
5) The car park isn't full of cancer research runners (see point 3)

... it might be ok

I went along to a VX meet at this pub a few months ago.
It was the height of summer and the wait for food was so long we all ended up going to a pub down the road. It is a nice place mind, OK if you're just going to be having drinks and had plenty of parking, the overflow parking was a grassed area but firm IIRC.

I hope to be there.

Paul, instead of turning right for Ledburn carry for a half a mile and it's on the left

Presume you can see this place from the road?

Yep all lit up.
As you coming from Aylesbury direction, when you turn onto the LB bypass, down the hill to the first roundabout turn right and keep going for a mile and its on the left.

It's open, has a well lit car-park, won't be full of daft hill-runners and has plenty of space for smokers (it's called "outside" ).

The pub itself is set back from the road, but there is a fopping great sign, and even Oggs has managed to find it (Only kidding Oggs, don't )

Thought I should post a reason....It's the first day of our Christmas promotion, and I'll ne knackered and in need of a good drink....stressed out by all the work I haven't done....even more in need of a good drink - so can't consider drinking coca cola all night.

If mxdi can't give me a lift....will take any other offers
