Yes it's that time of the month again!! No, not that "time of the month", it's time to fill Ted's server with more postings about the latest Leighton Buzzard Meet n Beer.

This month its:

Not of an evening
Not in Leighton Buzzard
Not totally organised by me

So, please add this to your diaries (you do have a diary don't you?).

Sunday 26th October

Meet at 10:00, aim to leave by 10:30

We'll be at the pub sometime between 12:30 and 1pm

We're going to meet on Dunstable Downs sometime in the morning (yet to be decided, but not too early) and via a route yet to be finalised (between Oggs, FWD and myself) everyone will end up in Milton Keynes at the pub on Willen Lake in time for lunch

The route currently looks like taking in roads towards Aston Martin in Newport Pagnall, but we'll update everyone nearer the time (ie once FWD gets autoroute to work!!).

Also inlcudes maps of the downs car park and Willen Lake from Sheepy's earlier Streetmap posting. So they are all in one place to print off. Copies will be available on the day though if you can't print off the route.

If anyone has any questions or need futher help just ask.

There will be time at both ends for photos (and possibly a mid-run halt to allow FWD to burn more film).

I know that some people are either anti-run or a bit wary of joining a run. If you don't want to join the drive through bedfordshire, then please, please, please still join us for lunch.

It is my intention that everyone doing the run will have a map and directions so that they don't have to worry about losing the only person who knows where they are going. We will also have someone who knows the route leaving last from DD and travelling strictly at or below the speed limit, so if you do want to set off and the TVRs all bugger off at light speed, someone in a rusting Jaguar will be coming along behind to make sure we don't lose anyone.

Suggestions, comments and abuse most welcome (just don't be surprised if we ignore you ). Sign up now, it's your last chance to see everyone before BTaP.

Sheepy

Edited to add: The carparking for LBMBIII will be free, unlike that other meet going on where you'll have to pay. Of course LBMBIII will be a better event

Edited again to include the route details from FWD

Sheepy - sounds good, but a bit of a major clash I think with the Virginia Waters gathering on the same day. Could eliminate plenty of likely punters.

I blame FWD, he did the homework on the date. Hmmm We'll see how it goes. May move it to November if enough push for change.

Sounds like fun . I'll be there, weather permitting.

And before you flame me, it's not that I'm a fair-weather Tivver, I just need to lower the mileage a bit for insurance reasons .

Guys,

Top idea, but I think it will seriously limit things having it on the same day as VW. They're not a million miles apart, and I reckon people are more likely to converge there as its been done a few times before - I was planning to go down there myself, so would vote for a change of date for this one.

Venue is good though!

From what I've heard, VW is unlikely to be my bag and there's others who feel the same. So there might be a bit of a take up on this.

"Just do it" .

I'm in. They will be a map, full directions and a lesuirely time to get everywhere with nice countryside thrown in and a few phone numbers for those who can't hold a map up the right way

Join in along the way or start from the Dunstable Downs for some perfect PH photo opportunities.

That all depends on whether I have a car by then, but I should be around.

Could give you a lift to DD, and then you can beg anyone in a better car for a ride if you want.

There's always that...

I could bring the golf but the oil light started flickering last weekend, changed the oil but no difference so I'll just wait till it blows up The engine sounds and feels fine and it's not like it's worth anything...

Why don't you go on a run that ends up at Virginia Water?

Because this is a local area pub meet with a drive thrown in before for those who want to do it, those who don't are meeting at the pub for lunch.

edited because I hit quote instead of edit - doh!
