OK, I can take a hint, it's the second week in September and I've not posted anything!!!!

LB Beer-n-Meet II will be of a week-day evening towards the end of September. I'm looking at three possible dates: Monday 22nd, Wednesday 24th or Monday 29th. Can anyone interested please let me know which date(s) suit them best.

Location wise, I'm pondering on either the Flying-Fox (just off the A5 at the Heath and Reach roundabout). Anyone been there and comment on what it's like? Or Grove Lock (just off the LB bypass not far from the last place).

If you feel strongly, tell me which one, or I'll just pick myself!

Edited to add: The intention is to hold these meets monthly. If I pick a date or day which doesn't suit you this time, let me know and I'll try to fit the next one round you (eg this time I'm deliberately picking a Mon or Wed to suit rsi1974). I am, of course, open to bribery (financial or alcoholic).

Any of those dates should be fine with me...

Not been in the flying fox since it was re-done, but it seems a little "plastic" from the outside. As long as it serves Guiness, I don't much care though

Couldn't make the 1st meet but am definately up for the 2nd one! Could only do 24th or 29th though. Either pub - the only thing with Grove Lock is if you've got a low car you need to take the speed humps at an angle to save grounding - good pub otherwise!

Cheers
Si

Thanks for that, I've never driven there, 'cos it's about 15 min walk along the canal from where I live, so we tend to walk there, stagger back!!

I'll pop into the FF tonight to check the parking. Hare & Hounds had a pretty small car-park which is why I'm looking for a new home

There's always one awkward one who can't make the dates everyone else can!!

Edited to add which seemed to go missing before!

My diary is a blank canvas - can probably make whichever date we settle on.

OK I have been to the Flying Fox before, it's like a Beefeater or Berni Inn type place. Very similar to the Barn in Milton Keynes.

Very "Sunday Lunch". But probably a good place for a meet.

Five Bells @ Stanbridge, quality pub, quality food.
I think it used to be owned by a singer / actor at one time. It also has a large carpark
