Ok guys,

having spent a long time trying to come up with a date for us to point our respective exotica down that 2 mile straight and press the loud pedal until we run out of runway I think I have.....

OK, I know its a little while away but its looking like Sunday Oct 12th is the day. However, at least that will give some of you time to perform some mental modifications (Derestrictor!) and for some jolly banter to take place here.

Pricewise, as before will be based around numbers. last time I believe I estimated between £150 and £175 for about 6 runs. It worked out that there was a potential minimum of 10 runs and cost was £150. So I'd guess about the same but as always I'm negotiating discounts where possible.

Please drop me an email through my profile. Some of you have contacted me already, you will take priority initially.

All the best chums.

Ok chaps, have had a fair bit of interest so far which is great. But, we still need a few more...

Just for informative purposes can anyone who would like to come please drop a post here with their name and car. Thanks very much. Craig.

The Brekkie/burger van will be in attendance & the electronic speed recording guys will also be present to give a definitive answer to those top speed questions you've always been asking yourself.

The drill will be as always...

This is a private booking so helmets optional, turn up, eat brekkie, get in car, saunter to the straight enjoying the few twisties on the way there. Line up............. get onto the straight as quickly as possible, nail the throttle and keep it nailed until you either run out of power or bottle..........

Through the speed traps and BBBBBRRRAAAKKKEEE !!!!!

then let the adrenaline take over, gently drive back, resusitate your passenger, tell everyone all about your experience, line up & DO IT AGAIN !!!!!

The owner was there yesterday in a XJ220, and was expecting to show his passenger a genuine 220 mph down the straight. So there's a challenge for you!

I think the fastest he's been so far is 198, still bloody fast though. We purposely put the speedtraps further down last time, Dazren got the closest at 192.

Crazy guy - should have closed the circuit before he attempted that.
There I was, 120MPH out of the chicane on the short circuit and BAM this XJ220 comes past me at what must be at least 190MPH.
Was a pretty impressive sight, but I'd rather it was carried out under better circumstances.

This event is on the PH calendar, would any attendees be so kind as to add their name to the list so fellow attendees know who is attending and it may also persuade any "maybes" out there, to step down off the fence and commit to the event. This should help us achieve the required numbers to make the costs more sensible for everyone.

looking like we've got about 20 people so far and another 10 maybes, some bound to drop out but all the same not too many places left, roll up, roll up & let me know via my profile asap.

Cheers chaps.

(just hope I've got a car by then cos my jeep runs out of steam at 115mph and I get scared if I go over about 50 on the bike!!!)

I'm definitely coming with my "leary labrador transporter", but with a improved fuelling, working paddle clutch, water injection and NOS .... thinking about rigging up some sort of parachute coz if I do break 200mph I aint gonna stop until I hit the coastline

Will see if I can attract more of the RS4 guys as last time.

Andy, welcome to Pistonheads mate. Your legendary driving skills are famous in these parts, you left Derestrictor (Pistonheads answer to Shakespeare) speechless. Have a look towards the bottom of his summary of the day (2/3 down the page), your driving got Final Mention :

Look forward to seeing yourself and the Express Labrador Transporters Club on the day.

Good stuff, Andreas.

I seem to recall the Madness of King Audi in all it's sideways glory...

Do you REALLY have a nitrous booster on board?

Pre-posterous!

thanks guys.

Afraid she has got NOS, but just 75bhp at the moment. If we can get the fuelling right at the top end then the 300bhp jets are ready to go in. Shouldn't really need it though as with 1.9bar she'll be good for 600bhp with the 75bhp on top - so that's 175bhp more than she had on the last run with the dodgy clutch, 1.55bar and no NOS

See you all there guys..... well for at least one run anyhow.....

May have to remove the Ultima as its all get a bit silly. 750bhp should not be allowed!!!!!!

Oh god - what have we started here.

Audi vs Chevy in the tweak-mod competition - I can see it ending in tears (and lots of engine bits!)

It's all good fun though No chance against a decent Ultima or even a sorted Porsche - mine cuts through the air like a barn door in custard.

Well I was thinking about driving. Not 100% sure
if I'm going to be here. Hence if I said I was just going to watch I'm not letting anybody down.
