As you all know, there will be many high-speed runs on both days organised by the NSRA.
At the far end of the 1/4 mile these cars will be running at maximum speed.
PLEASE, UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES, DO NOT attempt to gain access onto any part of the track at any time throughout the entire weekend.
This especially applies to the run-off area at the top end, where the 1/4 mile extends by another 1/4 mile to allow for all race cars to slow down when they have passed the finish line....... the last thing the drivers will be looking for at 200+mph is a pedestrian on the track.
Remember, Motorsport can be dangerous.........enjoy a grrrrrreat weekend, SAFELY folks.

I appreciate you need to put out this sort of notice for legal reasons, but bloody hell - anyone daft enough to walk onto a live drag strip deserves to get fed feet first into a wood chipper

This is Pistonheads - not ****witnumptyheads

They'll have to have PLI. Doubt it has a "fcukwit wandering over the track" part.

A couple of years ago I went to spectate a sprint event at Debden airfield in Essex, partway through the meeting a random jogger appeared and made his way across the, clearly marked, course whilst cars were making their runs.

Well it's certainly less potentially damaging to one's career than the UB40 award nomination.

Will e still be able to get a good view from the permited areas then? I've never been - do they have a grandstand - or what?

Your grandstand seats are included within your ticket package- the best views from the startline.......the sound "slaps back" at you from the surrounding 40ft wall- fantastic!......then from the 150ft marker, there's raised grass banking with camera platforms etc until about 2/3rds the length of the track........enjoy!
We'll see if we can post some shots of the bare track to give y'all an idea......Ted?

The grandstand is brilliant - perfect view of the whole strip, overlooking the start line, if you want you can also sit on the grass bank (there's embankments either side of the strip most of the way up the 1/4 mile) for a more relaxed seating position - you're still separated from the strip by armco.

edited to add Ah, bugger, Pistonfest beat me to it

I know PTed has now posted photos, but just to agree that the view from permitted areas is great, and the sound in the stands near the start is awesome! You better believe it, I can hear them from home, and that's 4/5 miles away.
