Just wondering how many people are coming along with respective other 'alves?

I have just about managed to convince Mrs Chim that cars are a good thing, and she has even come to a couple of TVRCC meets. She was pleasantly surprised that they were not populated entirely by species "Beardos Weirdos".

I have therefore just about convinced her to come to Pistonfest (another weekend ticket Ted), although she was fairly keen to know that there would be some other girlies there that wouldn't mind not just talking about cars! I ask you.

I am considering bringing my 12 year old son - best to get him interested in cars while he's young! Don't know if he'll come along or not. We would only attend during the day on Sunday. Is this likely to be a problem? He's well-behaved, won't bring any footballs or other projectiles, and knows (from dealing with me) how much people like their cars and so he wouldn't touch anyone's car, etc.

I shall be bringing the resident expert on makeup, handbags, dresses, shopping and bank balance reduction.

In her defence though, I'm unlikely to see much of her all weekend as she usually spends her time blagging as many rides in other cars as possible.

I'm bringing the other half. Not sure he's that big on make-up or handbags though

I'd say there will be plenty of girls there to talk to' some of the blokes aren't bad company either. Tell her to come.

Lucky me, my missus loves all things car and would take great offence if I were to suggest going to any car event without her. Trouble is she likes to drive too so I get relegated to the passenger seat for some of the journey

Which is why Himself went out and bought the V8S - sharing the driving was too painful for both of us. Now we go everywhere in two cars, which is brill - you get to play when the roads are quiet, and there's space for friends, and we don't argue as much!!!

Is there going to be a non-PH creche where we can put other halves for a chat about how little they see their respective partners?

I'm currently trying to persuade mine along, she normally grumbles about it until she hears/sees something nice. When she went out in Incorrigibles Chim you could hear the squealing from the car behind.

No, sadly Mrs Dodger not in the least bit interested. Forced her to go to a TVRCC meet years ago and later in the afternoon we convoyed out to see another pub. It was great waiting in a nearby lay-by for all to catch up - then the guy at the back stopped the traffic so we could all stream out together - the noise was awsome! That was from Mrs Dodger! she was totally embarrassed by it all. No sign of petrol in her veins at all - - which has it's plus points sometimes!

What are these 'halves' that you refer to? I assume you don't mean half as in 'half of lager please' do you??? In which case where can I get one of these 'halves'? I don't have one and feel l like I am not a whole person now!!!
