All systems are go! I had a meeting at the venue today with the event management team and we're confident that we can lay on a great event.

I'll release more details in the next few days and put the tickets on sale. Along with the hundreds of your cars that will be there, we are - and will be - talking to plenty of traders/specialists/manufacturers about them bringing along their wares to display/sell (contact me if you want to be one of them).

It's to be held at Shakespeare County Raceway (Avon Park), near Stratford (make a weekend of it with the family!) on Saturday and Sunday 28th/29th June. Sunday will be the main event but we've also managed to nominate our area already and camping is permitted on the Saturday night - so we can have an almighty piss up too (more on that later).

The same weekend, the venue plays host to the NSRA Nostalgia Nationals so there will be some wild drag racers there too all weekend providing plenty more entertainment as well. We can also have a few drag racing slots held for us if anyone fancies it.

This is the start of something big - more details, including pricing in the next few days!

www.shakespearecountyraceway.com is the venue

Quality, good location! Will we be 'displaying' our cars as PH members for Joe Public to look at or is it park in a car park and have a look around?

OMG !
Le Mans, GTs at Combe, PistonFest, Goodwood Festival of Speed and Gang on the Green with only one weekend off in the middle which is when I'm helping organise a Folk Festival!

I'll need a good holiday to recover from that lot....

BTW - For those luck enough to get tickets, PistonFest clashes with Glastonbury.

Ted are you making TVRCC aware?
Do you want me to send something to the web site manager?

PistonHeads will have a designated and roped off area for which a car pass will be required to enter. That will be provided with the tickets.

We won't be stopping the other people at the raceway from coming to admire our lovely machines either. We're also talking to the Sporting Bears about providing dream rides for charity so we're hoping that Joe Public will be taking advantage of that too.

Incidentally 'Joe Public' in this case will also be petrolheads!

That would be very helpful thanks. It'll take me a day or two to pull all the details together ready for publication.

I don't even have the spare weekend as the 2nd July is Dorset TVRCC meet - well I suppose I get Saturday free for non-car events ! Plus the previous Sundays are Dawdle 3 and Cyclists off to LeMans

This August I will be mostly sleeping .
