Loved it! A bit like Fotu Light, not quite as concours.
I'd rather this than a car park full of Ferraris and Lamborghinis.

Very interesting listening to some of the chats on stage, as well as the odd mix of cars, definitely something for everybody. Glad we had the weather on side, would have been grim if it had been held today.
Would definitely go again, I also seemed to miss out a chunk of the museum somehow, so another reason to return.
Edit: Just watched FuriuosDrivings upload - the Toyota something was a Corona.

I'm in South Oxfordshire and already got tickets for the next Scramble. Not sure what I'm bringing yet, it'll most likely be my GT86, got a mate coming up from Somerset with a Z4 and another from Devon who is picking up a CR-Z from Torque GT in just over a week so will likely want to bring that.I feel for you on the 996 being ignored, I like my cars but at shows they all seem to get ignored, I put the fuchs back on the 944 for the first time since 2008 and it's suddenly getting attention again. Can't really argue as it is a bit of a runt, all the good stuff is hiding underneath the bodywork.

Mine was a bit “normal” compared to the eclectic mix, I would have been in the standard carpark at Festival of the Unexceptional, for instance, which is what I liked about Rustival in that it was a complete mix. Would definitely go again, I also seemed to miss out a chunk of the museum somehow, so another reason to return.

Yeah that makes sense, I guess normal being the normal thing you'd see at a car show. I did notice that a lot of the cars I was interested in looking at were mostly glossed over by others like the 180SX that looked great, if you gloss over the completely absent dashboard...I think the sheets were quite a good idea though, Some of them were quite interesting to read. One that sticks in my head was the gold Renault 5. It was his brothers car, and his brother got a mk1 golf gti and sold the Renault to him in the eighties. He never sold it, and he has owned it for 30+ years. (I like stuff like that, a car that has a family history vs one bought by someone last year just to take to shows).
Or the Peugeot 306 convertible, it was his mates car. But his mate died of cancer when he was 27, they kept the car on as a legacy to him. Or the Austin 7 ruby owned by a young driver who only has ever owned classics. The Peugeot 405 that someone bought on ebay for £500 or so 15 years ago, but the car just kept going. (I saw a SAAB with a similar story too).
I was in my Twingo, all the way on the back row of Mayfair parking. I actually took a day off on Friday to clean it. (Its a daily driver, so it covered in crap from going up and down the road to work). Spend bloody ages on it, I don't really know why to be honest. I sort of knew that its not old / rare enough to catch peoples people's attention. (There is only about 1000 of them on the road though, and I think only about a 100 in 2009 were registered).
The Honda Logo there was a bit the same, I knew it was a very rare car, but I don't know how many other people would. (But there use to be one near where I lived). They only sold them for a year, but it didn't really get a mention.

Absolutely, all old cars seem to have an interesting story behind them. My 944 is from 1983 and it's got quite the story that reaches back to 2008 when I dragged it out of where it had been abandoned, I can only speculate on its dubious past before that from what I've discovered pulling it apart.Or the Peugeot 306 convertible, it was his mates car. Was a brilliant variety of stuff throughout the place, genuinely something for every taste. Add in the museum and Jaguar Heritage Centre too and it was a bargain. Having the ticket converted to a 12 month one if you Gift Aided it makes it a steal!
