Tickets have just gone on sale for this years festivities. https://www.sherehillclimb.co.uk/

We went along last year and saw a load of great cars and had a really good day out - https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=19...

240 cars and bikes going up the hill this year - and one of them will be me! I just need to practice some standing starts now...

This year is the 3rd time up the hill for us, always a great day out, lots of rubber left on the road.

I'll cheer you on clap

Just be aware that the surface is pretty grippy. The car in front of me a few years back attempted an impressive launch and blew something in the transmission cry

I hope to be going up the hill in the Porsche convoy at around midday.

This looks fun, can I just do a midday onward visit and turn up without a pre paid ticket?

The more I think about it, the more likely it is you will see a sedate waft away from the line and into top before the end of the hay bales. Possibly. It depends if we have the dog in the back…

I am looking forward to seeing the Porsche convoy at lunchtime though!

I believe so yes. I think the cost on the day is higher than buying a ticket up front though - https://www.sherehillclimb.co.uk/tickets.

That was good fun. The organisers very kindly let me have a couple of runs up the hill. Made my son's day cool

What a brilliant day out. All sorts of interesting cars being driven for fun. Mine is the red one.

This one?:

The only video I have is of it coming past me at the traffic lights at the bottom of Newlands Corner (no sound…).

That was a great day. Fantastic atmosphere and some fun drives up the hill. I just need to come up with some excuses as to why the car looks so slow going up the hill in the videos! My passengers were screaming so I don’t know where it all went wrong.

Also, note to self - must get a more impressive gazebo. Or just any gazebo.

Yeah that one, we did leave a fair bit of rubber at the start smile

As Clerk of the Course for a Shere Hillclimb, it is fantastic to read these comments above. We as a committee put a huge effort into planning for a safe, fun event every year.

We give all profits to local charities which benefits communities across Surrey.

Looking forward to the 2023 running already.

Thanks all.

Graham.

Thanks for running a great event, it's just so chilled out with the perfect mix of cars, people, food/drinks and space to spread out and relax with your friends, don't change anything (especially don't put up the price)
We were very lucky to win one of the raffle prizes for a ride up the hill in the Escort which my lad absolutely loved (still grinning).
