Apologies but I searched and couldn't find a thread.

Anyone going to this on 6/7 Aug?

I've not been before so looking forward to it!

Any tips for a newbie?

One of the better events IMHO.

Drivers are well looked after, lots to do and see and usually some decent cars on show.

Drivers go in the back entrance which helps but arrive early to avoid breakfast queues in the drivers tent!

Alas, my car doesn't qualify so I will join the rest of the rabble!

Thanks for the tips though!

Arrive early although there will always be a queue to get in. Food is expensive so best take a packed lunch. The main loos get busy but there are some much less used ones in the Abbey complex. If you are taking children, there is a great new area called Little Beaulieu which the kids seem to love. Plenty of quiet areas to sit in the shade and rest.

There’s normally a great selection of cars and plenty of opportunity to talk to owners. Nick Mason normally brings a few of his lovely cars like his McLaren F1.

And finally, the speed camera vans will be out, the ponies and donkeys have no road sense, so drive carefully.

To round this out, I went yesterday (first time) and it was great. Excellent selection of cars, nice atmosphere and plenty to do--it also wasn't too difficult getting out but then I did leave around 1500.

Hope others enjoyed the day!
