Brooklands Double Twelve 18/19 June.

Brooklands will be holding their two day event the Double Twelve on weekend 18/19 June. The event covers all sorts of motoring events, MB world demonstrations on track , test hill and other demonstrations on site.A new feature this year is to create a pride of ownership area for owners of all sorts and years of cars to display. Anyone interested to join in please contact Steve Castle at brooklands.

It was a great day a little soggy at times but good. The only thing that was a little disappointing was the sprint racing was the lack of visibility.
Some cracking cars though.

Fantastic day out - I attended with my family as a father's day out - My little 18month old boy had a wonderful day! It was really pleasant that vast majority of the museum was open as well as the car show and sprint - and it really wasn't too busy. Made for a very pleasant relaxing day out, and my son is now a confirmed petrolhead so I'm well chuffed!

I've been to the D12 a couple of times and it is one of the best events at Brooklands. I couldn't go this year and was a wee bit irritated. Mind you, I'm off for the bus even this weekend. Never been that interested buses except as transport. I'll let you know if I've been converted (transported?).

Some suggest such an event is just some old blokes standing round looking at machines



There are some strange and exotic machines that deserve a close look though.



And there are those who just love cars no matter how small.
