Spa Classic / travel

Anyone else on here going to the Spa Classic next weekend? I’m heading over in a small convoy.
Long range forecast is for showery weather.
I’m wobbling about the which car to take dilemma. Nothing fancy and both more than up to the trip. I was thinking the MX5 as don’t need to take much stuff, nice to run around locally with roof down (if not raining!) and amusingly it qualifies for free within circuit parking over the weekend. BUT, due to time constraints and relatively few interesting route options anyway we’re going to need to do most of the journey both ways on motorway…..so should I take the Octavia as it’s better suited to high speed mile crunching.
First world problems and all that, but anyone who’s been before do the local roads and the event itself mean I’d regret not taking the little rwd convertible over a practical but quick hatchback? And is the within circuit parking a whole lot more accessible….particularly thinking for my Dad who coming with me and could get quite knackered with all the walking around?

Getting to Ashford / Dover is always the worst part. Belgium motorways aren’t great, compared to the French autoroutes, but they’re good for covering the ground quickly (Brussels ring-road at rush hour aside).
We drove out to the Alps at Easter and having spent hours doing the last 20 miles to Ashford it was a relief to get on the Autoroute. “Continue straight ahead for 85 miles, 55 minutes.” Admittedly that was on a Sunday morning, with Waze estimating a ‘personalised’ journey time.
Still after any intel on Spa Classic, parking, local roads., interesting but still fairly quick routes to and from the channel.

Sorry for the thread revival.
I live in Newcastle and do the trip from North Shields to Amsterdam. No need to travel from Scotland any further south to make the crossing unless I'm missing something. Followed by maybe 3 to 3.5 hours on the road in Europe. I stay about 10 mins from the circuit. You can also go from Hull to Rotterdam.

Am travelling to Spa for the Six hour classic this weekend.
Our first visit so any info appreciated!
Is parking included in the ticket price?
We are hoping that that the track is fairly accessible and that acess to grandstands is also included?
Is pit acess also possible?
What would be considered the best viewing spots to head for?
Thanks in advance guys and hope it doesn't rain all weekend!
