Hi all

Looking to get my MG shipped out to/from Brescia for the Mille Miglia in June.

Outbound shipping on/around Friday 10th, return shipping on/around 20th.

Just putting feelers out for anybody else looking to do similar, perhaps we can get a few together to share costs etc.

Thanks

I can’t help with transport but interested to know whether you are participating or spectating and what MG you have?

It’s something I’ve always wanted to do.

Yes likewise.

I am not competing - just spectating around the northern end of the route.

Car is a 1972 Midget running a fast-road A-series.

Hope you make it out there sometime!

This sounds like a great trip so good luck.

If you haven't seen it, Harry's garage did a fantastic video a few years ago. Trucked his Alfa spider down there and followed the race from some great spots. It includes cost comparisons for truck vs driving and some great man maths for justifying the trip. Well worth watching if you've not seen it before............

I've followed the race on motorcycles and that was great fun. We rented a brilliant AirBnB near Arezzo which meant we could catch them on the way down to Rome and also on the way back up.

If you find the truck option too costly then you could always spend a couple of days driving down and back. That's what we did on the bikes and the back roads through France, Switzerland and Italy were amazing. Avoided motorways completely and the roads were mostly empty plus no road tolls or tunnel charges.
