Carfest virgin here.
Camping the entire weekend with the family and was wondering if anyone had been before and could offer any advice.

As I understand it I need to pack in such away that everything can be carried to the camp site. I best get planning

Went to Carfest South as a day visitor back in 2019 and it was really quite excellent. I didn't know what to expect, but it surpassed everything I had imagined.

Sorry I cannot comment on the camping situation, but what I can tell you is that it was a real long trek from the general car park to the festival itself, and from what I can see, a fairly decent walk from the festival to the camping areas, so you'll probably want a trolley in any case.

The site itself is obviously huge in itself, so be prepared to a ton of walking!

I'll be there with the Sporting Bears, come and have a ride in an Atom, or a Ferrari, or a 1915 Model T Ford, or a...

and enjoy what's a very relaxed family friendly event.

Bring comfortable shoes, you'll be on your feet most of the day.

spikey I believe the wife tried to book our 9 year old daughter a drive in something but everything was fully booked. It may have been something completely different but I'll be sure to swing by. I'm quite looking forward to it

There'll be plenty available to book on the day, it's usually only the track rides that can be booked in advance.

PS, if you see a nutter in a red leather jacket driving a red Atom, do say hello.

Good on ya mate, hopefully you have a great weekend. And what a car to be running about the Hampshire back roads in!

We took a ride out in an M5 Comp pack with SB at Carfest back in 2019, which was astonishing.....only surpassed by a ride out in a 750bhp GTR with SB at the British Motorshow last weekend......literally blew my 10 year old's mind!
