With car shows on most weekends in the summer.

If you could only go to one show in the UK within the next year, what would it be and why?

Retro Rides Gathering at Shelsley Walsh on 22nd August

Brilliant show something for everyone - hill climb action in all shapes and sizes and 1000’s of cars on the show field

La Vie en Bleu at Prescott Hill Climb. It's a lovely, convivial atmosphere that seems unspoiled and by virtue of the location, is hard to reach over-capacity and wandering up the hill will see oodles of space and on-track action. Not too dissimilar to BC's suggestion. just posher smile

Very much so - RRG is very much everything on a stick (pre 2000) - thanks for the recommendation I’ll stick it on the calendar for 2022 - I need an excuse to go back to prescot it is a fantastic venue

Barge Meet 2022? smile

Funnily enough I visited Shelsley Walsh for the first time yesterday and snuck a drive up the hill at the end.

Dies a V8 SLK count as a barge - if yes great idea

Driving the hill at Shelsley is fun - gravity helps a lit

Weird really - mine has been several times and I'd never seen another got there - this time there were two LC's there - neither were mine biggrin

But they probably treat them better wink

Ricci’s summed it up well, RRG is the most glorious of meets I go too. We made the journey this year in a friends R5 GTT, followed by a C63. The reward of retro parking makes up for the difference in our journeys!

Just done my best event of the year. The Pembrokeshire County Run. It's a 95 mile run open to any car or bike and is really a moving car show as there arelots of spectators along the route. Really good mix of everything from pre war to modern day stuff. Around 400 cars took part this year.
