Silverstone Classic 2021 - a selection of images from me

Hi there,

I had a great couple of days at Silverstone last weekend for the 2021 running of the Classic Festival.

Weather was not the best but the turnout was still really good with loads of interesting cars on display and out on track.

I have worked through the first gallery from the infield and paddocks which can be accessed using the link below.

The Triumph Stag was celebrating its 50th Anniversary and there were around 375 Stags present over the weekend



Something a little different a Skoda limo

This was a new one on me. Entered in the Silverstone Auctions sale a Maserati 222 4V



Barn find Aston anyone ?



Richard Hammonds Lotus Esprit went under the hammer on Sunday



Quirky Smart Crossblade in the auction also



Not exactly a common sight a Lamborghini Jalpa



I will be working on more images over the coming days which I will share once the galleries are completed

A few snippets

Normally I wouldn't take a photo of a 20 year old Boxster but the roof rack peaked my attention



Interesting colour on the 430 Scuderia



Seen this car a couple of times now BAE Vantare a re-bodied Aston DB9

Probably one of the most exclusive cars at the event, one of only two Aston Martin DB3S FHC ever made



A great display of 40th Anniversary 911's. No fewer than 16 cars on display

Thanks for the photos, was a good day indeed and felt very much normal. I thought turnout was a bit down, certainly felt empty towards the end of the big racing grids and no issues getting out at all.

We saw that Skoda. Still not sure what to make of it. I think I like it. But I'd never admit to it in public.

Yes think the weather put a few off and personally I think the super touring race was a big draw as there were some greats cars in the over previous years. Also the clash with a BTCC round meant many of the tin top drivers were not there.
Also feel the event needs Group C as seeing the Silk cut Jags etc racing into the dusk was a true spectacle.

The owner of the Skoda was a nice guy and was full of tales of the cars previous life, its certainly travelled the world as a promo tool for the brand which was great to see depicted on the info boards on the windscreen
