Sadly, but understandably, I think free hospitality will be the last thing to open up.

Many businesses will be reluctant to take any risk if there is no, or limited, financial reward.

We're considering our options for later in the year, but ultimately we're waiting for lock down to fully lift before we start planning anything. Hopefully it won't be too much longer though!

This is a shame, given the size of the Bicester Hereitage Scramble that ran at the weekend as an example.

Lets be honest SS have been dying off for a while, can't remeber when the last time we had a proper list. Instead of dangling a carrot either kill it off completely or get it back too where it once was...

I'm sure I'm not the only 1 who thinks this either...??

Ironically we only had a full calendar that we released at the start of the year for two years, but people still bring this up. The dates ended up changing so much that it just wasn't feasible to manage so we reverted back to releasing each event as they were organised, but trying to give more advance notice compared to the 2-3 weeks that people used to get a few years ago.

I'm not sure killing Sunday Service entirely is really justified is it? It's unlikely that we'll be going back to having one every single month, but surely still having a number of events a year is better that none at all?

Christ, they're generally free events. You don't have to attend.

I'll be happy to see them back. I only managed one in 2019 at MINI in Oxford but it was a decent morning out.

Well I did say hopefully it won't be too much longer I can't promise anything yet but we're looking to see how we might be able to tie a Sunday Service in with that event, so watch this space.

Nothing just yet I'm afraid, but we are working on an events survey that we'll be running soon to get a better understanding of what events members want us to organise or be a part of. So keep an eye out for that, I'll post a link here too when it's live (might not be for 3-4 weeks due to some key people being on holiday).
