Hi all, new to PH.
Seen as everything is cancelled this year......
Does anyone know of any pop up socially distancing car meets going on??

I get all the rules and regs
I also get the problems for organising events but pop up meets or roll throughs on small scale would ease the current situation a little....

Anyone have a link or a plan or should I just accept that it needs to be next year already?

CheeRS..

I am sure some are probably announced on Facebook but I don't do Facebook so not sure how easy to access those events are...

Would be good to have a current thread on popup events to announce.....

Yes, but certainly no mention thereof on any publicly accessible forum.
The ones I know about avoid using social media as well.
All done by personal communication using phone/text/e-mail.
Organisers need to think laterally to avoid breaching the current Regs.
If you fail to plan you're planning to fail.

It's within the regs to meet 5 other people and keep 2m apart. So no reason why you can't have lots of small meets like that. Best organised privately though or too many people might turn up.

Moor Allerton. AIUI there were also two other locations in Leeds.
Advertising it on social media so that there is no control over who turns up.
Just how dumb do you have to be not to realise that it's a recipe for trouble?

Went on a drive event in Los Angeles, today. Limited to 100 cars with pre-registration required. It started just outside of Dodger Baseball Stadium near downtown Los Angeles and ended in a shopping center along the beach in Malibu. Mostly exotics, Porsches, some Corvettes, Mustangs, BMWs, and Mercedes. And as usual my Pantera was the only one of its kind. Social distancing and masks were requested The group that sponsors these is called Malibu Autobahn and typically there is a car meet for two hours with as many as 300-400 cars parked, then a 90 minute drive through the Santa Monica Mountains and canyons, out to Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu with a follow up meet at Zuma Beach in Malibu. The roads are great, the cars are varied and beautiful, the drives very spirited on early Sunday mornings. Below are a few pics from today.

Malibu Autobahn published some photos today of last Sunday's Father's Day run and there were several of my Pantera. My favorite was taken on the freeway on the way to Malibu and is linked below.
