Will Piston Heads be running the North and South sporting tours again this year?

I think this all died out. They cancelled the oulton Park one saying they would rearrange but never did.

I suspect they thought more people would do it than actually did.

That's suprises me. We attended both the Southern tours and both were fully booked. It would be a shame if they don't run it was evolving into a great little event.

Yup, I was waiting on some more news but nothing has been heard. We participated in both tours and had a great time, I think it may have been too much too soon, and the talk of there being a dinner and get together in the evening at the second Tour never happened, which was a shame as we booked rooms for both tours. You never know, something might come of it again in the future. HINT, HINT!!

Sorry for the delay in replying to this. In short, yes we're working on an event for 2020 smile

We realised last year that we were trying to do too much, so the aim is to keep this to one a year. As we want to have the tests at circuits, the biggest challenge is finding dates that work around race weekends.

Tony has just bought a 911 that he's going to turn into a rally car, so I suspect he's getting a bit distracted by that hehe But we'll report back when we get a date and location secured!

It's disappointing for me to announce that unfortunately due to coronavirus we've taken the decision not to hold a Sporting Tour this year and are now holding off until 2021. Thank you to those who've been keen to join us again in 2020, we'll be back hopefully bigger and better next year!

If you're still wanting to do something with us, we're hoping we'll be holding a Sunday Service or two at the end of the year and are going ahead with our track evening at Brands Hatch on 12th August: https://www.pistonheads.com/news/trackdays-pistonh...
