Nuremberg is a city.
Nurburgring is a racetrack.

The Nuremburg 24 isn't a circuit race, it's a rally.

Nurburgring and Le Mans cant be compared IMO

Nurburgring is a bit of chaos in a good way. Open fires, fireworks, music, bbq's and lots of beer drunk. Its a wonderful event and ALOT of walking but its worth it. No radio le mans but IF you get phone signal you can get it online. Driving anywhere - forget it its chaos . shops open are fully stocked unlike France at Le Mans.

If you have never done it do it

Thanks for your helpful answer, how many days would i need, so i guess park and pitch up, are the shop walkable or do you stock up first. Is it more into the woos rather than large field as per LeMans. Normall we arrive Wed at LeMans, leave sunday after race.

The locals are waiting to get in as of the weekend before once the gates open they build everything, sunday of the race you will see them all leave and burn it all in their tracks.............

Camping race wise I'm not sure as i stayed at a friends house. From what I could see its arrive and find somewhere but it wont be close, everyone is friendly though. You could book with travel destinations I think in the allocated section but that is near the GP track so not close to anything but may save loads of hassle as a one off. Alot is fields but you can use wooded sections but these are generally sloped.

shops are in adenau, you wont be able to move over the weekend in a car so maybe shop on the way to the ring for the race based on this.

Good walking boots and a coat / brolly required as you never know what the weather will do in the Eiffel region. I'll have a look for some videos later from Tom Stamp and Mischa about the race as a spectator to get a idea.
