MINI Plant Oxford Sunday Service 20th October

60 years of MINI has been marked by a host of celebrations this year - now it's time for another!

We heard your calls for more Sunday Services, and they're coming in thick and fast now. PH has a track day Saturday Service at Oulton Park this week, and we're delighted to announce that on October 20th we'll be heading to the MINI Plant in Oxford for our first Sunday Service since 2011!

Plant Oxford is the home and heart of MINI production, and since the start of the new MINI era in 2001, more than three million cars have been made there. And with a strong admiration of MINIs within the PH community (and staff!), it should come as no surprise that we're quite excited to host an event there. The Plant's museum will be open to us to have a mooch around, where there will be historic cars such as the 1914 Bullnose Morris, all the way through to some special modern MINIs. As well as the cars in the museum, MINI will have a some of their current cars there on display, such as the new Clubman John Cooper Works. And of course the PH car park will be a sight to behold, as it always is.

The event will be taking place from 9am until 12ish, with breakfast and coffee available on site. We have space for 500 cars, so tell your friends, family, work colleagues and anyone else that may be interested, as this isn't one to be missed. So with that said, sign up to our calendar is here - go go go!

Date: Sunday October 20th
Cost: None, but we like biscuits...
Time: 0900-1200h
Space: 500 cars
Address: MINI Plant Oxford, Oxford, OX4 6NL

Sign up for the MINI Sunday Service here.

Sounds great, gutted I can’t make it due to having booked onto doing a sprint in my Mini that day. Dagnamit.

Is this a different location to the Sunday service held there before, as the museum looks the same?

Yes, I remember that one, the museum has been upgraded in the last few years and has a lot more to look at now.

Rather hoping we might be able to repeat what we did last summer too.

I'll be there, not been out to a Sunday Service in a while, and this seems a good one to come back to!

Good to see so many Sunday Service virgins attending - this one should be a cracker!

Also, my mistake that I wrote it was our first SS there, 2011 was way before my time so that's going to be my excuse getmecoat

If I want to go but not bring a car (bikes only at the moment until I get my garage sorted) can I just rock up? Because this place is literally a 10 minute walk from my house.

I've always wanted to go to a sunday service. I've recently moved from the north of Scotland so I'll definitely be freeing up my Sunday to attend.

Jack, please could you ask if the EV charge points will be available for use in the car park there?

They do have charging points open, yes - but they're on the charge master network, so not sure if you need to be a member of this? Never charged a car before, can you tell? biggrin

Hehe, thanks Jack - I'll show you how it works if I can eek out the power and not get stranded in Wiltshire!

Just checked ZapMap and the rapid's out of action so just a 7kW type 2 and a 3 pin socket. I’ll be taking my i3s but only live 15 miles away so won’t tie up a charger. There are just a couple Teslas down as possibles so you may be OK. If you should get stuck there’s a Polar rapid at Milton that may work for you.
