Cheap flight to Nice and train to Monaco every day?.
Any other tips? Will make it a long weekend, so what else is around that is worth seeing?

I’m going next year with friends, we haven’t been before. We’ve booked flights to Nice, booked a hotel near Nice, and booked tickets via the official website (I’m not sure whether you can choose your seats if you book elsewhere), we’ll travel in by train each day.
As it will only be a short duration trip we haven’t looked into what else there may be to see, I’m sure our wives are looking forward to shopping in Nice though.

We are going for the first time next year. Got advice from a friend who goes to every historique so followed this and booking went well. When we got the 100 bus from Nice to Monaco a few years ago it was 1.50€ return! We'll probably do that again. If you want to go for the Sat and Sunday you get discount on grandstand tickets (normally 50€ sat and 100€ sun), they do both days for 120€. You can book a different grandstand each day and still get the discount. We got ours from the official site
After wanting to do this for a few years finally bit the bullet and booked flights and accommodation for next years event. After hearing some positive things about Menton on the commentary yesterday have booked in there.
Can anyone give any recommendations on the event like what grandstands to go for? Also is Friday practice free or tickets also needed?

It's a fantastic event, we've been several times and Menton is a great place to stay, some nice restaurants and an easy train ride into Monaco. We have done K1, K3 and Casino Grandstands, my personal preference is for the K grandstands opposite the marina although it's quite iconic seeing the old cars going round Casino Square. You could pick one grandstand for Sat and a different one for Sunday. K has easy access from the station with several watering and eating holes very close.

I’ve seen many people suggesting K grandstands so that sounds like the one for us. Ive also seen some hospitality packages that don’t look to unreasonable has anyone ever done this for race day and got any recommendations?Gassing Station | Events & Meetings | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
