Anyone going to the above event - theme is "Fast and exotic supercars"?

Never been to Wilton House or a Wake Up there before so any good?

I went to one a few yrs back, used to go into the front entrance of wilton House and selected cars would be asked to display around the drive.
Other cars would park in front of the walled drive.
Cafe in the grounds opened for breakfast. Not as big as a (Goodwood meet).

Its big treck for me, so I only went once.

A charming event, not too small not too large. Good variety of cars. Been to nearly every one - a 90 minute drive away yet Goodwood on the doorstep. Lovely setting & to avoid the café queues go to the little shepherds caravan on lawn nearby.
Salisbury & environs a delight.

Well worth a visit but best to get there as early as possible. It's a totally informal gathering and there's always a wide range of vehicles to see and owners to chat to.

Pompey Reece--- its a great morning out .
Do go .
I,ve been to just about everyone of them , and have thoroughly enjoyed each

The week-end long shows were the best - exhibited 4 cars there over the years - and still miss the fact that its no longer run .

And the weather for Wilton on Sunday looks good .

I'm going and have been to a few (being local). Well organised and all for a good cause. My biggest issue is its so close the car doesn't even warm up before I get there!

I seem to recall last years "Supercar" one coincided with a very nice day and it was by far their most busy event. The queue to get in at 0800 was certainly the most interesting/expensive traffic jam I have ever sat in! I also seem to remember some late arrivals in a big convoy of exotica getting very annoyed that the car park was full and being sent to the public car park at the shopping village over the road.

So as said above by others and especially if the weather is good aim for 0800!

To be fair it was only monsoon weather for around 45 mins until 8:30-9sih.

We arrived just before 8 to find the courtyard full already so parked up in the car park and dived for the cafe and shelter, venturing out around 9am.

Felt sorry for the Caterhams who arrived first thing and were looking very wet.

Turned out to be a nice sunny day later in the morning.

Think I was one of the only Porsche’s in the courtyard when I parked up at 830 ish. Makes a nice change as most events these days there are Porsche’s as far as the eye can see! (Eg Silverstone classic)

I discovered my 20 year old Elise's roof was not as waterproof as I hoped, which at least was predictable. Spoke briefly to a chap in new Exige 410 who was having a similar issue and seemed a bit miffed! Roof off for the drive home and it all dried out nicely though.

Not sure what I was lusting after most, the obvious F40 or the very nice less exotic stuff like the Lacia Integrale or the pair of lovely Datsun 240zs. Hats off to both the GT3 with a baby seat in it and the chap who rocked up in the muddy Nomad!

I noted all the new signs about being careful on the exit. As a local I have heard a lot of the Mum's Chat brigade getting very upset about leaving antics!

After the events recently of people being run over by overenthusiastic drivers, the road outside Wilton being soaking wet.
You would have been an Arse if you tried to impress the crowd!
