RADwood Show - 80's/90's cars
Discussion
Been running in the USA for a while by the looks of it, first one coming to Goodwood in August and specifically aimed at 80/90's display cars only. Wondered if anyone else here is thinking of attending?

Literally no idea tbh!
Not seen it advertised anywhere other than social media which is a little concerning as not sure where the organisers are expecting people to hear about it. Personally I would have thought they would be banging the drum with more than the odd post in twit world for a new event with no history in the UK, especially considering the ticket pricing!
As it's the first event over here there is no precedent either with regard to what to expect, however as I like the era of cars this is targeting I guess unless you go you will never know so to speak. Could be a flop or could be great, one hopes for the latter......

Strange I hadn't heard about it anywhere else which leaves me wondering how popular it will be (although I might easily have missed it on one of the numerous mailings I get from Goodwood). Then 20 quid to display my car when Goodwood Breakfast Clubs are free at the same venue (although it includes free entry to a museum - in Washington!!).
I mentioned this to the boys this week and we seem to have quite a few going now although I'll be the only one showing my car as they're all useless and all their projects are in bits on the drive/in the garage.
I do wonder what the uptake on tickets has been as I see lots of posts about US RW events but as said above not much pushing of the Goodwood event. Listening to the podcast I haven't heard it mentioned either, bit odd.
I've always wanted to go to Goodwood so this seems like a good enough reason and the GF and I are making a weekend of it so going with no expectations and will see how it goes!

By sheer chance I happened upon a load of Radwood/DrivingWhileAwesome folks when I was in California late last year....

But, that's just a cars n coffee, not a full Radwood event. The Radwood's look much bigger and, very impressive. The guys I got chatting too couldn't have been any friendlier. If it was a taster of a Radwood event, then I'm looking forward to it.
I'll be heading down in my Evo as it just sneaks in to 'Rad' at 1999.

I really fancy taking my Skyline down to this but it's the worst promoted event I've ever seen (not seen?) . There is literally nothing about it at all on line that I can find other than a press release and a ticket site. Might as well say some stuff and lots of cars from the 80s. Doesn't even get a mention on the Goodwood website.

Definitely tempted here, though the Jaguar has made 2 attempts to make Goodwood and it's failed twice and I don't want to make it a 3rd!
However now running well with 1000 trouble free miles this year, so maybe this would be 3rd time lucky
is this for the classic breakfast club this sunday? Apart from falling wothin the right theme and age, what the criteria they used to select? Is it based solely on making sure there's a good mix of make/models? Just interested to know. However now running well with 1000 trouble free miles this year, so maybe this would be 3rd time lucky
11th August, it's own dedicated show as far as I know. Cars from 80-99. Pretty much anything allowed I believe as long as It's period correct. I'd happily take my standard k11 Micra 1.0 as it's not about the pinnacle/most rare cars of that era. Dressing up in period attire is welcomed too from what I see of previous Radwoods. I see it as period clothing not fancy dress, so stuff inspired by what you wore as a kid more or less well that's what I'm doing!
