Beaulieu Supercar Weekend
Discussion
1) Is one day enough?
Yes
2) Any recommendations as to where to stay? Car parking an important criteria
Montague Arms, just round the corner, lovely with a price tag to match
3) how busy does this get?
As it's a 2 day event, it doesn't get busy however if one day is wet the other sunny.....

Well worth coming for a day....there’s plenty to see around Beaulieu with the gardens, museum, house etc. Queue to get in can be quite long if the sun is out, but there is plenty of level parking. Plenty of nice places to stay in the area. Master Builders at Bucklers Hard is right on the Beaulieu river. Lymington is a lovely Georgian town, about 30 mins away across the forest. Brockenhurst tends to get busy with tourists but makes for a nice base for a weekend. Sway is much quieter. Most of the local roads are 40mph because of all the assorted ponies, cattle and donkeys that wander freely around.
I’m sure you will enjoy a visit.
I’m sure you will enjoy a visit.
Have known the museum since it was first opened (yes I'm that old) & attended with my classic car numerous events. I last visited the museum about 6 years ago & was overwhelmed by how shabby it had become. Local TV keeps plugging the place as a Disneyworld/Alton Towers/CentreParc type of place.
However all may have now changed but I would urge caution if you are displaying a nice expensive car at the museum in August. The New Forest is heaving with families for whom the museum is understandably a magnet & for their children its one big playground where they can run around unsupervised.
You do the maths if you get my meaning.
As a visitor not showing off a nice Supercar you may enjoy it.
Lots of accommodation but prices at their peak & probably very few vacancies.
Camping maybe?

The museum is only one small part of the whole complex and generally everyone treats cars on display with respect...Nick Mason has happily left many of his cars on display in the past. Personally I think it’s great that supercar owners let children get close up to cars they dream about. All cars displayed are roped off so yes, all has changed. However all may have now changed but I would urge caution if you are displaying a nice expensive car at the museum in August. As someone who's displayed at various supercar events, this is definitely one of the best from an owners' perspective!

Hi All,
I’m thinking of going along. I spend most of the year out in Dubai, so I’m not fussed on seeing the latest Fezza and Lambo offerings. Is there a good variety of older stuff to look at - quite a big fan of older 911s.
Thanks
