Hi all, considering taking a trip to a Shelsey Walsh event this year. Just wondered what the general consensus is on the best event from their calendar to attend? Also any ideas on camping, is it close to the action? Descent facilities?

Thanks in advance!

Depends what kind of stuff you want to see really. Classics or modern, or a mixture, or the hillclimb championship races.

A couple off the top of my head..

Classic Nostalgia is a great 2 day event, and the Shelsley 'Flagship' event. Pre-80's and some Group B rally cars. Lots of other stuff going on, car clubs and stands etc, and you can camp. (June)

Supercar Fest is a new event for this year that looks very good, lots of interesting stuff old and new has been confirmed to be going up the hill. Its a one day event but you can camp, and the Breakfast club is on the day after which usually brings out some interesting cars, especially at that time of year. (July)

Retro Rides Gathering is an event that's been running for a while and usually has some interesting cars going up. I think its pre '95 so not overly retro! But it is a one day event I believe. (August)

Can't really comment on the camping facilities as I've never camped as I am local. But I'd have thought the camping would be in one of the few fields that surround the track, so you will be close to the action.

Hope that helps somewhat.
