Looks like this is going to be held on the 16th April this year, details should be confirmed this Sunday 15th apparently. If so this will be Easter Sunday, which is a bit of bugger for me as I'll be Sprint racing at Croft the following day (and I'm not 25 anymore so won't manage both!)

I pinged Bruno about this-over a week ago , but did not get a reply back until, today.

It seems Bruno is no longer involved with the organisation any more, it's sounds like he and jean Pierre have gone sepersgte ways.

Also the website has Been updated now saying that registration will now begin on the 25th January and there will only now be 55 places in total.

It also seems like the location is very differnt from before, it's looks like it is now based further south West, but I have sent Jean Pierre an email to get details of the exact location re hotels etc.

Is anyone else here thinking of going along?.

I too have had an exchange of e mails with JP and it seems that no town can help them this year due to elections etc. The rally will start from their club house and will go West apparently. A small event compared to last year but the only problem from many of the usual SKCC regulars is that it falls on Easter Sunday. Hence the reason that we are not going and have decided to do a few more UK events particularly the day events run in Kent which are nice and local. Just as much fun and weather normally about the same, got my eye on a charity one running out of Tonbridge about the same size 55 cars and sounds like a great route having had a chat with the organisers. Like the French one they include lunch for the crew and what's more a cream tea at the end!!! Sounds like my idea of a good day out!

Yes sadly, due to the changes it seems this will not be the same type of event that we enjoyed so much in 2015.

Therefore we have decided now, not to attend their event in 2017.

I hope that they can organise a better event for 2018, which does not fall over the Easter weekend.

Well we're still going, this will be our 7th R de J and we are very much looking forward to it as usual. Yes it will be a smaller event and I'm sorry to see that Bruno is no longer involved but I'm sure Jean Pierre and his crew will arrange another great event. Perfect excuse to spend a night in France and have some good food and wine too!

4th Rallye for me - Looking forward to it - Te only changes are that they'll be starting from their very cool HQ, rther than the town square - Everything else is very similar.

Looking forward to driving some epic French rally-routes again. These boys really put on a good run.

Interestingly prices were similar to last year for Ferrries, Hotel , and the rallye itself/

I did not get an entry this year, I'm not over disappointed as Easter weekend was not ideal for me and to be honest I'm not sure that the much smaller event will have the same buzz compared with previous years and their focus on town centres. I also notice that the entry list has greater bias towards moderns than classics. I have really enjoyed this event over the last few years, I hope it goes well for those of you going, I look forward to reading your posts and seeing pictures and with luck I can get back on the list if the event is scaled up again next year.

Apparently my application was too late...fully booked. Gutted.

Anyone know of any alternative events...?

Really fancy a decent road trip with a vaguely classic/sports car flavour.

Cancel my last - apparently my email/registration got stuck in his spam filter.

I'm in!

1978 cobra replica, zero rally experience, inaccurate speedo and a navigator who doesn't speak/read french... surely nothing can go wrong!

Do we think events like this might start up again now in 2022?

Anyone else booked this or anything like it?
