Spinnaker Tower Supercar Event - 23rd April Cars Required
Discussion
Good morning all,
My good friend Mr Baz Firth (one of the Sporting Bears area coordinators) is involved in the above event. Having caught up with him the other night, he's asked if I might be interested in bringing along some cars for the event.
Would any of you be interested in bringing some interesting and exotic metal along? Ideally I am looking for 10 cars in total, I do have a few lined up from other walks of life but if you are keen, please register your interest below and I will get in contact!
Some blurb from the Facebook event page:-
A superb day out at Gunwharf Quays and the Historic Dockyard where you can see over 90 cars on display in support of the Charity Abseil for SSAFA. Come along and see over £10M worth of cars including the sublime Koenigsegg CCX and Agera from Supervettura, Lamborghinis inc Miura, McLarens, Ferrari, Lotus and many more. Cars will be placed across the whole of Gunwharf and next to HMS Warrior and HMS Victory so will make a superb attraction and backdrop for the day.
By way of what we think is a world first, do ensure that you come and see the Koenigsegg CCX in its very special donated full wrap by MotoFX. The wrap is in white so that you can all sign your messages of support directly onto the car!
Other attractions include the ever popular Ian Cook from Pop Bang Colour who will be creating one of his unique and contemporary paintings by the tower.
As this is a charity event we are proud to annouce that there will be a very special auction in place where you can be part of a very unique convoy as a passenger in one of four cars for a short tour of the area.
As you are admiring the amazing collection we have on display for you please take some time to spare a thought for the 45 brave volunteers that are abseiling down Spinnaker Tower with a £10,000 target for SSAFA.
This is just a reminder for all of you very kind people that are displaying your cars. This will be under the same format as many car shows in that you park at your own risk but we do have the added insurance from Gunwharf that if any damage is caused to your car by Gunwharf property it will be covered by their PLI.

Can you add in another Shelby gt 2007?
Certainly, let me know the name to allocate to the car. Current plans (awaiting final confirmation) are as follows:-We will be meeting at Snows Lotus Hedge End (http://www.snowsgroup.co.uk/lot…/contact-us/lotus-hedge-end/). There is a breakfast van there so that we can all get a coffee and a bacon butty.
We aim to arrive at Snows Lotus from 06.45am with an expected leave time of 7:45am.
Those that do not want to meet at Snows Lotus should aim to be at the designated parking spot for 08.15 am. The road name is 'Gunwharf Road', post code PO1 3TZ.
We require to be parked up in both designated locations by approx 09.00 am.
Snows Lotus is a a lovely little drive (not too far) and will permit for us to arrive as a group. It also permits for us to be escorted onto both sites by their security.
Bart - Ultima GTR
Mrs Bart - Maserati GranTurismo
Nicmenicnic - Huracan (TBC)
Cablehead (Rich) - RS2000
Jason900 - Shelby GT500
TBC - Shelby GT
