OK, date for the diary for those who fancy a bit of a get together and grab a swift half and a ploughman's... Sunday 4th August at The Goat, Hertford Heath, Herts.

This is a porsche forum promotion, but all PHers are welcome. The more the merrier, as ever, and it won't matter whether you turn up in a Saxo VTS or a McLaren F1. Although an F1 may guarantee you more friends and free drinks for the day.

Also at the pub will be some Caterham owners from the blatchat forum, so the local Mondeo community will really wonder what's hit them

The date: Sunday 4th August

The venue: The Goat, Hertford Heath, Herts

The time: From about 11.30 - midday, onwards.

Itinerary: Normal mix of chat and soft-ish beverages, plus maybe going out for a bit of a drive. All good clean, sensible fun.

Map and directions: Copy and paste this link without spaces in your URL bar.

There is also a nice pic of the pub, in case you are wondering what it looks like. Nothing out of the ordinary, but at least it doesn't have a wacky sodding warehouse in the garden. Again, copy and paste the link.

So, hope to see some of you there. Fingers crossed for the weather!

Hi there Guy,

That is a great idea, we could meet at Handy Cross UCI or something, and head off in convoy.

Cheers

I can make this on sunday. If you're meeting in Wycombe, what time/place?

Hi Gav

Convoy is leaving Wyc UCI upper car park (opposite the cinema) at 10am. Bit early for some perhaps, but that's when the convoy is a-rollin'...

Sorry for the short notice, but I'm not going to be able to come afterall. The wedge is in pieces in the garage having a powerlock lsd fitted. I was really looking forward to seeing the RS as well (and Scottsters moded 993).
On another note, i've just seen Bluesatin's(?) black Ultima . Just outside Marlow at 6.10. Looker gorgeous!!!

Hi Gav

No probs. It was pretty good fun - jeremyc and his missus popped along, and Guy's Ultima was exciting to follow in convoy (although it does through up a few stones!). The RS was in fine form, new sports exhaust sounds amazing and I was giving Guy as much of a run for his money as I could with half the bhp!

Finally finished putting it back together at 3.00 yesterday afternoon. Wasn't that bad a job, and what a difference. You can feel it gripping in corners now instead of it getting all edgy. Ready for the next run now.

Great day- sorry about you getting stoned but the black devil likes to spit a bit of evil. I still did not take you but perhaps next time. Thanks again and perhaps a run down the Thames valley from Windsor to Henley next time.
