I'll be there with the '95 Rover Mini Cooper in the One Make Parking, was too late to book with my club. Go to this show every year, but first time to be actually part of it. One of the best car shows going, I think.
I'll also be wearing my PH smiley shirt, it's my car show standard attire now haha.

I "WONT" be there, first time since it started about 26 years ago, too many modern cars, too many stalls selling crap stuff,too many boy racer cars, too many modern cars (sorry i`m going on a bit) oh and most of all to expensive for the public to get in, and last of all, they should`nt be charging for exhibitors to exhibit there cars, if there were no cars on show, they would`nt have a show.

In the show's defence, It was never just a classic car show, there's always been a bit of variety. I'm guessing that's why the organisers called it a "Pageant" rather than "Bromley Classic Car Show".The end.
Personally, I like seeing some modern machinery at this show - there's other car shows that I attend in in my classic Mini that is purely classic cars. This is a show of cars in general.
This years entry fee (for exhibitors) is a fiver. That's pretty good going for Europe's biggest car show! That price includes a free passenger, too.
I agree that the stalls can get a bit "samey" but last year I picked up some rear window seals for half the price that you'd find online. That's a win in my books.
I agree with exkay. I take 'Pageant of Motoring' to mean a festival of all things motorised, from motorcycles to tractors (even though tractors stopped showing up years ago) but they have to be interesting or else a drive through the countryside would be a 'Pageant of Motoring'. Mondeos, Galaxys and Seats are not interesting and neither are their owners' clubs and if I really wanted to see them I would get the bus to Asda, which has a nice paved car park, instead of paying more to see them in a damp field.
I also agree that it has become too expensive (although admittedly it isn't this year) so you could ask me why I bother going. The simple answer is that it's almost on my doorstep and it has sentimental value.

I enjoyed today a lot, I think it was a great improvement on the last three years' rather pathetic attempts. The one-make area was packed to the point that it extended onto the other field and was good to see a proper selection of kustoms after a few years absence. There still needs to be more commercial vehicles and pre-war cars and fewer unremarkable/sodding awful boxes of s
te, though. I also couldn't help thinking that the arena field was a bit more spacious, even with a seemingly larger arena, but overall I still think it was bigger. It was great to see some real rarities as well, like the Rochdales, Turner and Fairthorpe.

I do think though it's definitely not like it used to be, Autojumble wasn't all that good and I agree with what davidc1 said about it needing to get back into being a classic car show. I mean MX5's and other modern cars at a classic car show?
But as somebody already pointed out, it's not a classic car show, it's a pageant of motoring! If you want to go and look at identical rows of MGBs and Stags then feel free, but for me this is generally more interesting.
Show was much better than last year and the price helped. Usual thing where people started leaving at midday though!
Couple of moans from me though - horrendous traffic coming in (as expected) but no efforts made to Marshall. Leaving was even worse - left early to avoid crowds and as I had work. Bedlam. People just driving parallel to the queue and pushing in at the head. Lots of old cars getting very very hot under the bonnet. Took me an hour to get out. Again, not a single Marshall anywhere directing traffic within the park or on the roads. For shame. Nobody even checked my ticket on my way in! Final moan - no map given out so dutifully buy programme after asking if it contained a map. Hoping for something that told me where stuff was instead there were coloured blocks showing arena, one make parking, club stands and that was about it!! Probably missed loads of stuff - it's so big you can't wander round everything, some people want to make a beeline for the things that they like. Disappointing!

A great day, saw a few PH shirts and smileys wandering around!

We also didn't get our free program and plaque, because our ticket was nicked off us upon entrance... cheers for that..
The market section was a bit naff this year around - previous years were much better, this year is was crap.
I had a list of things I was hunting for and ended up buying a roll of 'leccy tape and a model Monte Carlo Mini
But apart from that, it was good! Lots of variety. Helps living 15mins away, too haha
I got dangerously tempted to ask for further details on a Mk.4 Cortina for sale... but was hungry and got a burger instead haha.
