Drive the Lake District with Dream Car Events
Stunning supercars and spectacular scenery guaranteed with PH's latest driving tour

There will be the opportunity to drive six iconic supercars (the fleet contains everything from a Ferrari 458 Italia to a Nissan GT-R), fully insured and fuelled with a pro driver on hand to answer any questions you may have and also instruction if required. All you need to prioritise is getting the most out of your time at the wheel.
This fantastic experience is priced at £1,560 for a driver and passenger (to take care of the navigating) or £1,700 for 2 drivers. Breakfast, two course lunch plus afternoon tea and drinks will be provided. A safety briefing and a fully mapped route will be prepared in advance to ensure you take in the best roads and sights.
There are two dates available, either Wednesday April 23 or Thursday April 24. Places are limited however, so book quickly to avoid disappointment!
Discounted accommodation is also available at some beautiful hotels so the driving day can be made into a short break. For more information or to book, visit www.dreamcarevents.com or speak to the team directly by calling 0844 800 0195.
There are other events on throughout the year in many locations around the UK including the Cotswolds, Hertfordshire, Surrey and Herefordshire; call for more info.
Not sure it's such a great deal other than you get to try a few I guess.
Did they mention the excess/deposit?
"The 120 mile/7 hour route..."
Wow, so a whole 120 miles in 7 hours? That means I can expect to cover, on average, 17 miles in each hour. Or, to put it another way, £7.50 per mile.
Bargain.
Not.
(and yes, looks like it's "only" £900 on the site)

More like time to stop and enjoy the view, take photos and suchlike.
The Lakes does not seem ideal for, ultra-wide, low, heavily-sprung cars that on any given day will be using roughly 20% of their power curve at the best of times. If they did the same tour with a fleet of little roadsters I think it would probably end up being a lot more fun. You could keep a small fleet of classics for this very purpose such as Spitfires, S1 Elans, Sunbeam Alpines, MGB Roadsters et al. I'd be up for that; ambling about the Lakes on a summer's day in a sweet little classic for a decent price.
It was nice driving a modern Ferrari on track but I wouldn't want to take it off the beaten path up there; it would be too far out of it's element.
Just a quick introduction - I'm James, sales manager for Premiere Velocity and Dreamcar hire - and with my colleagues I co-run all the DreamCar event days round the country.
In response to a few comments - Yes, our website clearly states £900.00 inc VAT for a single driver. Piston-Heads have quoted our other two options -
The first, £1560.00 for a driver and a passenger (we recommend this as it's much easier to enjoy the vehicles if you are being assisted with the planned route)
The second - 2 drivers in one car swapping throughout the day at the advertised £1700.00
We carefully plan our routes to incorporate the best combination of roads and trust me, 120 miles in a day is more than enough, especially when many occupants will not have driven as many different animals in such a short space of time. The day in itself is approximately 7 hours, this includes an hour lunch stop, a coffee break and of course, stopping to change cars and participate in heated discussions with like minded petrol-heads!
We don't yet have our 458 Spider and our Aventador was sold at the beginning of the year. We always make a point of having the 458 Italia on our day and a Lamborghini (570 or 560) usually incorporating the MP4 Spyder and the SLS when we can (please see our fleet page for other vehicles)
We are primarily a self-drive hire firm so of course we won't be offering Zonda's, Koenigsegg's and Enzo's, but what we do offer is a wonderfully diverse mix of options. Although people may not want to attack a B-Road in the Lakes with a Bentley GT Super-Sport, when driving it back to back with a Lamborghini, clients are provided with a great contrast between vehicles.
In regards to locations - We have been operating in the lakes for over 5 years and never had any traffic related complaints nor unwanted approaches from local 'nazi' trust members. Our days are an experience and not a race, yet they offer a far more intoxicating driving thrill than most track based driving experience days. These cars are meant to be enjoyed on the road first and foremost.
We also operate from 2 locations in the Cotswolds, 1 in Herefordshire and from our offices in Hertfordshire.
Happy to answer any questions that anyone may have and I look forward to hearing from everyone soon.

1. Driver alone driving all cars c. 120 miles £900
2. Driver driving all cars c. 120 miles with passenger £1,560
3. Two drivers driving all cars c. 60 miles each £1,700.
In which case:-
2. The passenger is paying £660 yet not driving at all.
3. Each driver is paying £850 rather than £900 but doing half as much driving as 1.
Whether option 1 is fairly priced is an individual choice but I'm not sure I see that options 2 and 3 offer any extra value. Just my thoughts.

And why did the site show £750 + VAT earlier today?
